Skype Guest Speaker Series #1

Please send me your reading questions for Donnie Sackey via e-mail before class on Tuesday. Remember: I’d like you to focus on the New London Group/Watkins readings and the topic of making scholarly arguments in other media and genres.

For folks absent from class last week, here’s the reading for our Skype Guest Speaker:

2) Discuss how Watkins uses the “L” example to argue for popular identification with other texts.

3) What is he trying to argue when he shows an image of a playground and says “this is not fun”

4) Summarize his argument for understanding the combined use of media.
